New Year

I seem to have completely forgotten about this place - I have missed out the whole of 2007 it seems. In any case, let's see what I have done...
I have done three out of my four jobs, which will entitle me to start in General Practice and a trainee Registrar. I saw some great patients in the Accident and Emergency Department (I will tell you about some of them - with names witheld of course - in due course) and met some genuinely interesting colleagues. Just a quick nibble - I was told by one of the nurses working in A&E about the goings on of a certain junior doctor and a certain senior doctor. You could say the senior and junior were at a staff dinner, or something of that sort, when they decided, possibly in a drunken state to have a little bit of a snog (kiss for you Yanks). Now both of the parties involved are actually married and have been with their respective partners for quite a while, I was told. Anyway, the senior's wife threw him out but the junior's husband is either clueless or has ostrich-like abilities of head immersion. Either way, it is still going on. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for a chronic case of laziness shown by the young doctor and an ability to disappear into the ether.

A fiend I have decided to put all our training and years of experience together in a website resource - but it won't be some shitty little thing. In fact, him and I are both collaborating and will be contributing to it. Between us we have now had over 40 years of training and diet experience. And, we do look like we practise what we preach (i.e. we both have visible corrugations in our abdominals). We want to make it a repository for good health, diet and lifestyle.

The markets are doing quite badly at the moment - however I had sold most of my portfolio before the stink, and therefore I haven't really been burnt. If you would like a tip from me, look out for the commodities this year and also the precious metals. Silver and gold are going to go up in 2008 - you read it here - so lets see where they end up.
